About Yoga
Yoga means "to yoke" or bring together and is
an ancient holistic practice that unites mind, body and spirit.
The practice of hatha yoga uses a series of exercises that
provide a framework to learn mental balance and concentration
along with physical stamina and flexibilty. To accomplish
this, yoga involves physical poses known as "asanas" and
the use of breathing and meditation techniques. By attending
regular yoga classes, students have time to focus on breathing
and postures that improve health.
